Philosophy and Approach
We believe that children are born with an inherent thirst for knowledge and a strong desire to learn.
The early, formative years are the best time to lay a solid foundation for a lifetime love of learning and to bridge any possible achievement gap. How young students are encouraged, nurtured, and taught, is critical for their academic and emotional development.
At Early Academic Achievement, we begin the process with appropriate assessments administered to help define each child’s academic strengths and needs. Based on these assessments, we develop a creative multi-sensory educational plan that is specifically designed to meet each child’s style of learning.
For struggling readers, Wilson Fundations and the Orton Gillingham phonics based approach is implemented. This multi sensory method, which is systematic, structured, sequential and explicit, is most effective for struggling readers including those with a learning disability such as dyslexia.
