Pre-Reading Skills:
Print awareness (print represents words that have meaning, how to hold a book, reading left to right, front to back)
Alphabetic knowledge (the ability to name, distinguish and identify the sounds of the alphabet)
Phonological Awareness (sound structure of words taught though nursery rhymes, songs, games)
